About

Luna's Doghouse exists simply for the love of dogs. We are a small boutique located inside of the Gem Marketplace, in Paris, Ontario. We carry beautiful, fun and trustworthy products that make unique gifts for both dogs and dog parents.

Guidance:

1. Dogs

Our favourite quote: "Everyone thinks they have the best dog and none of them are wrong." - W.R. Purche

Dogs are loving and loyal companions that deserve nothing but the best. At Luna's Doghouse, we are committed to giving them just that!

After adopting Luna, my overwhelming love for her inspired me to start a business.

The five freedoms of animal welfare are:

1. Freedom from Hunger and Thirst

2. Freedom from Discomfort

3. Freedom from Pain, Injury or Disease

4. Freedom to Express Normal Behaviour

5. Freedom from Fear and Distress

My goal with Luna's Doghouse is to go above and beyond in all of these aspects.

2. Coffee

Coffee helped me through exam seasons, puppy training and starting a new business.

At Luna's Doghouse, we serve hot coffee to-go and retail bags from brands across Canada, like Rescue Dog Coffee Co. and Lucky Dog Coffee. These companies not only roast ridiculously delicious fair trade coffee, but also donate 10% of their proceeds to animal rescue organizations.

Thank You For Your Support!

My name is Abby, and I was 23 years old completing an internship in Golden, British Columbia when I walked into work one snowy morning to Luna (originally named Rotti) and her brother, Blue. Little did I know, my boss fostered puppies often.

Luna was born in December and found at just eight weeks old, huddled underneath a shed with her Mom and siblings in Northern Manitoba, and rescued from freezing -50C weather.

Mark was across the country at the time, so it's safe to say we weren't on the search for a pup, but her little eyebrows sold us both on the idea pretty quickly.

I would like to say thank you to my family, friends and the Paris community for your encouragement and support as I pursue this exciting new venture. You are helping me achieve my dream of owning a creative small business that helps dogs and people, and sets new pet store standards, all while still being able to walk Luna at lunch. I could not be more grateful. I am excited for Luna's Doghouse to bring together an enthusiastic group of people who value dogs.
